Rants and raves on (mostly) technology
The following poems contain hints of Taoist philosophy, Buddhist tradition, and Catholic ideals; this is not by accident. How can a person espouse more than one point of view, you ask? Simply put, I’m a product of competing influences — Taoism from my Martial Arts, Buddhism from my parents, and Catholicism from my education. As a result, these poems are a reflection of the inner soul-searching I did many years ago as I tried to understand the “meaning of life”. These are my “Six Easy Pieces”.
So what humble answers did I find? No matter what life throws at you, make the best of it because it is too precious and fragile for us to waste our time complaining and sitting idly by for something to happen. Furthermore, it is important to think of your future like the palm of your hand with each finger pointing to the many possibilities. But, before you can pursue any of these possibilities, you must first open up your hand and release the clenched fist that is stopping you.
