Eventually I’ll post reviews on (mostly) free software, but until then here’s a categorized list of what I consider to be the “best-in-class” Windows software out there.

Also, just so you know, I tend to choose open source and freeware software over commercial packages, and I prefer lightweight and cross-platform programs over “bloatware” or suites.
